Starting as a southern California based car cover and seat cover making unit more than a couple of decades earlier, Coverking today have become the #1 brand in the world. But success wasn’t reached in a day. It took a lot of hard work, innovation, research, dedication and looking into the customer’s interest.

The company was founded by an industrial and electrical engineer who previously worked in the Aerospace Defense industry where modern technology and a mechanized manufacturing process were implemented. Coverking lost no time in experimenting with the acquired knowledge in the automobile industry too.

At that time, automobile accessories were basically handmade and so the production was slow. And it depended a lot on the skill too, which was often not too good. Coverking changed all that. The company brought in modern manufacturing processes, automation, computerized designing, and as a result, the production time was lowered, the quality was upgraded and the cost reduced. The end result was that, the customer got better value for his money.

Encouraged by the early success stories, Coverking soon applied the same principles into the making of other automobile accessories. And like the first line, they were too lapped up by the market. And even the experts were pleased.

The auto giant, GM (General Motors of USA) officially permitted Coverking to use the GM logo in the seat covers that were made by Coverking for the GM vehicles.
